Family Works Centre, Whanganui
The Family Works Centre in Wanganui (previously known as the Whanganui Family Counselling Service) provide a range of services to the Wanganui local community. This centre is also approved by the Family Court as providers of support to survivors of domestic violence.
A community based counselling service available to work with individuals and/or families. Centrally located with professional approachable staff who can tailor services to meet your needs.
Family Works in Wanganui has provided a range of services to the community over many years. Current services include:

Boundaries with Kids - a 6 week parenting programme covering a balance of useful learning and ‘how to’ strategies.

Free to be Me - a 12 week programme designed for adults who have experienced family violence. Individual or group programme available.

Free to be Me - a 10 week programme for children and young people who have experienced family violence. Each group caters for the different developmental stages of its members.

Boundaries - an 8 week, Christian-based programme that offers women the opportunity to learn how to establish clear, healthy boundaries in relationships.
